Mirabelle Kajenjeri is a French pianist “with a unique touch, manipulating some of the most challenging acrobatics with a (discreet) smile, disarmingly natural and generous” (La Libre Belgique)

Born in 1998 to Burundian and Ukrainian parents, Mirabelle draws deep inspiration from her multicultural heritage, a theme she explored as a guest speaker at TEDxRoubaix.

The year 2024 marks a turning point, with a growing international recognition. She began an Artist residency at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium and joined the Fondation Gautier Capuçon. In 2025, she was named a Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth International Competition and made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, under the baton of Tianyi Lu.

Her first album, “Étincelles” was released in collaboration with the label KNS Classical (2022), and traces a journey from Beethoven to Fafchamps.

She was recognized in numerous international competitions, including 1st Prize at the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition (2021), 2nd Prize at the Kissinger KlavierOlymp (2023), and was a semi-finalist at both the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition (2023) and the Cleveland International Piano Competition (2024).

She has been supported by institutions such as the Fondation Safran, Wilhelm Kempff Foundation, Lieven Piano Foundation, and Yamaha Music Europe Foundation.

Mirbelle Kajenjeri performs internationally at festivals including Flagey Piano Days, Kissinger Sommer, and Piano Days Cleveland, and has collaborated with orchestras such as the Brussels Philharmonic, Philharmonie Baden-Baden, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orchestre de Picardie, and the Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa.

Alongside her concert career, she is actively engaged in music outreach and education, regularly taking part in projects for young audiences and interdisciplinary collaborations.

A graduate of the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, she studied with Anna Malikova, Ewa Kupiec, Mikhail Faerman, Vladimir Soultanov ,and her discovery of the piano at the age of 5, was initiated by Natalia Grebennikova in Kyiv.

A multifaceted musician, she is also a passionate violinist, having studied both instruments from an early age. In 2018, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree with great distinction. Lorenzo Gatto, Olga Zolotareva, Ning Kam, and Elizabeth Degrenand were her teachers.

In September 2022, her first album "Étincelles" is released in collaboration with the label KNS Classical.
